An Everyday Thing (21 The Blog Series)
Today I want you to pick
the topic. I want to encourage you to
seek God for yourself. What is it that He
is laying on your heart to do or stop doing?
Who is He laying on your heart to reach out to or no longer allow too
close? Where is He laying on your heart
to go or stop frequenting? Are there any
skills that He wants you to develop or habits He wants you to break?
Many times we pray, but
we don’t listen. Sometimes we hear, but
we refuse to accept and obey. Take some
time out this evening to spend with God, receive direction from Him and obey Him.
Invest in yourself by
investing in a relationship with God. He
can tell you better than anyone else what His plans are for you.
You can do this in
whatever way works best for you. Your
relationship with God is just that, your relationship.
Here are a few ways to
invest in your relationship with Him, if you don’t know where to start:
1.
Read a book in the bible or start a devotional
plan.
Usually, I pick a
book that seems to be relevant to my particular season in life. There are also so many devotional plans
dedicated to different seasons in people’s lives online and on mobile apps.
2.
Pray
Just talk to God.
3.
Meditate
Listen out for
what He may be putting on your heart.
4.
Journal
Write down what you
think God is saying to you or what you would like to say to Him.
There are several other
ways to spend time with God. These are
just a few. We don’t even have to stop
with today. Let’s challenge ourselves to
make God a part of our everyday schedule.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,
and all these things shall be added to you.
~Matthew 6:33
